Mahogany Car Boot Sale

Join our regular monthly Car Boot Sale—happening on the first Saturday of every month at Mahogany Shopping Promenade.

Well established and supported, this 'home of the Car Boot Sale' is ideally located in the overflow parking of the Mahogany Shopping Promenade. Close to the bus stop and the main entrance to the mall, the bright banners and flags of the Car Boot Sale grab the eye and attract even more intrigued visitors.

With a large space, we have ample capacity allowing us to grow and grow. Bring your friends and cousins and contribute to a circular economy!

We start early in the day—08:00—and catch many early birds on their way to work. In fact, eager buyers will most probably overrun you by 7:30 already! To avoid the afternoon showers and heat, we pack up at 13:00, making this a wonderful time to still enjoy the rest of your day at the beach or even shopping inside Mahogany!

What can you sell:

Pre-loved items in good condition, second-hand house items, decor, tools, kitchen items, clothes, toys, books, shoes, sports items, gardening equipment, baby items, etc. Antiques & collectibles most welcome.

Art and crafts made by local artisans. Items made from recycled goods are most welcome.

NOTE:

Shop owners, retailers, commercial vendors, and the like are NOT encouraged to join the Mahogany Car Boot Sale, as our focus is on a circular economy. No 'unsold old stock.' No resellers. No catalogue items. No new, cheap imported bric-a-brac. Rather consider another venue.

How to participate:

Click on the Register button and complete the form. You have the option to rent a gazebo or table for Rs500, and a refundable deposit of Rs1000 is required. Cash only on the day.

Once you have read the terms and conditions and completed the registration form, an email will be sent to you. Be sure to check your inbox and spam bin. Banking details will be provided in the email, and your spot is secured when you make payment of Rs 600.

Once you have registered, you will be added to the WhatsApp group where we discuss the final arrangements before the event, especially the weather. What happens on the day:

• Find directions by searching on Google Maps for 'Mahogany Car Boot Sale.'

• Ensure you arrive between 6:30 and 7:30.

• At the entrance to the overflow parking of the Mahogany Shopping Promenade, look for the entrance Car Boot Sale flag and the orange cones. Wait there to be signed in and shown where to park.

• Provide your name to be ticked off the list, and if you booked a gazebo or table, you will receive further instructions.

• Packing up starts at 13:00. There is a 13:00 rush of buyers, and packing up earlier will disappoint them and you will lose sales.

• No vehicle may leave before the event is over, for the safety of the pedestrians and fellow vendors. If your stock is sold out, lock your vehicle, visit the mall, and collect your vehicle after 13:00. This is nonnegotiable.

Additional details:

• In the event of a cyclone, we will reschedule, and you will be informed on the WhatsApp group.

• In the event of heavy rain we may close earlier; you will be informed on the WhatsApp group.

• No refunds or re-allocations will be made if you decide not to come.

• You do not need to have a vehicle to participate.

Rejoignez notre vide-grenier mensuel, qui a lieu le premier samedi de chaque mois au centre commercial Mahogany Shopping Promenade.

Bien établi et apprécié, ce vide-grenier est idéalement situé sur le parking annexe du Mahogany Shopping Promenade. À proximité de l'arrêt de bus et de l'entrée principale du centre commercial, ses banderoles et drapeaux colorés attirent le regard et suscitent la curiosité.

Grâce à son grand espace, nous pouvons accueillir un nombre croissant de visiteurs. Venez nombreux avec vos amis et votre famille et contribuez à une économie circulaire !

Nous commençons tôt, à 8h00, et accueillons de nombreux lève-tôt se rendant au travail. En fait, vous serez probablement déjà nombreux à chiner dès 7h30 ! Pour éviter la chaleur et les averses de l'après-midi, nous remballons à 13h00, ce qui vous permet de profiter du reste de votre journée à la plage ou de faire du shopping au Mahogany !

Que pouvez-vous vendre :

Articles d'occasion en bon état, articles ménagers, décoration, outils, ustensiles de cuisine, vêtements, jouets, livres, chaussures, articles de sport, matériel de jardinage, articles pour bébés, etc. Antiquités et objets de collection bienvenus.

Artisanat local et objets fabriqués à partir de matériaux recyclés bienvenus.

REMARQUE :

Les commerçants, détaillants et autres entreprises similaires ne sont pas invités à participer au vide-grenier de Mahogany, car nous privilégions l'économie circulaire. Pas de stocks invendus. Pas de revendeurs. Pas d'articles de catalogue. Pas de bibelots importés bon marché. Veuillez privilégier un autre lieu. Déroulement de la journée :

• Pour vous rendre au vide-grenier, recherchez « Mahogany Car Boot Sale » sur Google Maps.

• Veuillez arriver entre 18h30 et 19h30.

• À l’entrée du parking d’appoint du centre commercial Mahogany Shopping Promenade, repérez le drapeau « Car Boot Sale » et les cônes orange. Attendez sur place pour vous inscrire et vous garer.

• Indiquez votre nom pour être enregistré(e) sur la liste. Si vous avez réservé un emplacement (stand ou table), vous recevrez des instructions supplémentaires.

• Le rangement commence à 13h00. À cette heure-là, les acheteurs sont très nombreux ; si vous rangez votre matériel plus tôt, vous risquez de les décevoir et de perdre des ventes.

• Pour la sécurité des piétons et des autres vendeurs, aucun véhicule ne peut quitter les lieux avant la fin de l’événement. Si vous avez tout vendu, verrouillez votre véhicule, rendez-vous au centre commercial et récupérez-le après 13h00. Cette règle est impérative.

Informations complémentaires :

• En cas de cyclone, l’événement sera reporté et vous serez informé(e) via le groupe WhatsApp.

• En cas de fortes pluies, nous pourrions fermer plus tôt ; vous serez également informé(e) via le groupe WhatsApp.

• Aucun remboursement ni report ne sera effectué si vous décidez de ne pas venir.

• Vous n’avez pas besoin de véhicule pour participer.
